Mid-Century Modern is really popular right now, and I really like it.
There are some distinct design trends we see out of the 1930s-1950s.
- Lots pastel colors
- An industrial look with the use of metals in furniture.
- A combination of big round corners and sharp edges
- Angled feet on furniture
A lot of these same features can be seen in modern furniture sold by Ikea.
One fun way to see how this style is being used, is to see what some of the popular woodworkers are building. Check out the short playlist below to see some of my favorite woodworking YouTubers making some amazing furniture.
