I follow a lot of businesses. It’s why I started this blog in the first place. I found that I spend a lot of time following really cool businesses that are making incredible products and I wanted to start sharing who I follow. Sometimes I come across a new business and I wonder how I had not been following them before. Tanner Goods is one of those businesses. They make incredible gear ranging from leather wallets to adventure backpacks. They have a dream team of craftsmen who work together in their shop to create and manufacture gear that is built to last. They have the ability to take an idea from inspiration to design to fabrication all under one roof. Below are some pictures of their products.
Recently Tanner Goods released a new product that is different from the gear and apparel that they are traditionally known for. They now sell beautiful hand turned wood bowls. Each bowl is made by the master woodworker Sterling Collins from Hew Woodworking.
Tanner Goods is offering these bowls in 3 different sizes and two different species of wood, Walnut and Big Leaf Maple. Both species of wood are sustainably and locally harvested near Portland, Oregon.
The process of making wood bowls by hand on a lathe is really time consuming. I personally have played around with making things on a wood lathe and I can tell you that it is not a simple task to create a perfect bowl. Tanner Goods is selling a stunning wood bowl that has truly been created by a master. I love their Walnut bowls; the dark wood has so much character and beauty.
Tanner Goods has three brick and mortar stores in the US located in Portland, Los Angeles, and San Fransisco. You can also find their gear in certain stores around the world. They have a map on their website showing all of the locations. They also have a fantastic website where you can buy any of their products.
