This week I published the first episodes for my podcast. I have been working on this podcast for a few months now and am really excited to finally launch it. The podcast is called The Origins Podcast and is a storytelling podcast about businesses and startups. I have always liked entrepreneur and business podcasts as well as storytelling and history podcasts. I created this podcast with both of those categories in mind. I research businesses and products and narrate their story. So many businesses go through a lot of crazy endeavors to start their business. I want to share some of their stories.
To start I released four episodes. The first is an introduction episode explaining the format and a little about me. The next three are the first stories that I tell. Each episode will range in length from 5-20 minutes. For right now I will be releasing once a month.
I would really appreciate if you would subscribe and leave a review on iTunes. It turns out that subscriptions and reviews mean a lot in the iTunes search engine.
Here are the summaries and links for the first three episodes.
Grovemade started out making bamboo iPhone cases. Their start was unique and bold. Then the unthinkable happened the same day they released their first product. They now have a full line of products ranging from electronic accessories to a desk collection.
Biolite has a global mission to save lives by improving the air quality in homes that cook over fire. Jonathan Cedar and Alec Drummond started the business because they like camping and the outdoors. They also happen to be really good at engineering and design. They created a stove that they sell to two completely different markets around the world.
R. Riveter has a unique mission to provide jobs specifically for military spouses. They make beautiful bags that are inspired from common military materials. Lisa Bradley and Cameron Cruze started the business in their attic and have been growing their business as well as helping other military families out with employment.
